Re-entrance of Earl and Carol Johnson reduced the lost from 28 to 26. Replacements in the sec ond grade are Louise Biss- ette (Rock Ridge) and Eu- ,^ene Thigpen (Lamms), Virginia Perry and Ben jamin Boone, second grade, I'ecently transfered from Bullocks and Oak Level, where as Danny Eatmon and Betty Perry, third graders, hail from Mount Pleasant and Sims. Newcomers in the fifth grade are Edith Williams^ (Margaret Heame), James Eatmon (Mount Pleasant), and Wilbur Perry (Sims). Lessie Mae Perry, a fourth grader, also comes from Sims, 1952 additions for the sixth grade are Melba Jean Eatmon (Mount Pleasant), J, R. Bissette (Rock Ridge) and Curtis Thigpen (Lamms). Doris Faye Bissette (Buck- horn), Collins VJilliams (Charles L. Coon), and Elmer Lee Bames (Battle- boro) join the seventh Laura Helen Lamm (Charles L, Coon) is the.first new- comer f6r t.hp. Illness Decreases Attendance Records Chicken pox and colds caused a definite drop in the perfect attendance rec ord for the first semes ter, reported a majority of elementary grade teach ers. Out of the 36U students enrolled in the elemen tary grades, only 56 have been present eveiy day for the first semester. Students with perfect attendance records are—- First grades Kenneth Ray Bissette, Jack Eatmon, Hubert Wooten, and Lenwood Allen. Second grade: Roy Allen, Margaret Earp, and Joan Brantley, Third Grade: Gerald Tapp, Randal Finch, Alton Mann ing, Harold Cooley, Clyde Lamm, Louis Earp, Barbara Nell Brown, Betty Beard, Linda LaJnm, Barbara Sue Lamm, and Linda Faye Cooley, Fourth grade: Preston Williams, Linda Manning, Boiiey.n.r.
