Leaving by car on April 2k for a four-day trip, ten journalists and their advisors v:ill have a raap- ped-out itinerary that Tfill enable them to see all-the important sights of interest in the capitol city. After he bad presented his birth certificate, each child was given a thorough physical examina tion; ears, eyes, throat, teeth, weight, and height. They were then given the staff to attend. Because the order for the papers was misplaced and, thereby, never received in the Circulation Department of the paper, the number of papers desired could not be furnished. However, the V.''atson Tobacco Company sent 100 pages cut from their copies v;ith their compliments to the school, thus eliminating the cost of the complete paper. vaccination they needed; diphtheria, small pox, or typhoid. There ware two nurses and one doctor to take care of all the children. Fifty children are ex pected to enter the first grade here at the begin ning o±‘ school next fall. Plofis ll^ioture For Hew Building Plans for the nev; home economics and cafeteria building were completed at the April 1 meeting of the local school board, Super intendent L.S. Inscoe, and Architect Thompson. The State Lunchroom Super visor presented plans for ' the lunchroom that called for a seating capacity of 185. The kitchen will be Trailed off from the cafe teria. In the front entrance lav atories will be built. A storage space of 10 x 16 feet will be available, A covered walk will connect the building with the school. According to the plans proposed by the Home Eco nomic Supervisor for the home economics department, there will be three plan ned cooking units ; one equipped with a gas stove; another with electric stove; and the third, an oil stove. Mrs. Finch Lauds Classes It is alv/ays a pleasure to mingle with well train ed young people, I have enjoyed vforking with the students as substitute teacher. Indeed they rel'lb'ct niucli credit upon their teachers.
