On the first day of school 177 students were enrolled in high school and 352 in the elementary grades. By the end of the first week the attendance had increased to 571-18? in high school and 3814 in- the grammar grades. >^RS. UURINE T. RUDOLPH GLOVER'S 37 second graders lead off with the highest enroll ment in the grades. . Following close behind is MISS RACHEL BISSETTE'S seventh grade, MRS. R.G.L. EDWi.RD'S eight grade, and MISS ALICE HARDY'S third grade with 36 pupils each. The sixth grade with MRS, Jl'il UiroETOifOOD as their teacher and MISS MARY FRANCES OVffiN'S fifth grade tie with 33 pupils enroll ed* There are three classes each having an enrollment of 31. They are Mrs, EFFIE M. HAGTOOD'S first grade, MISS EMOGENE TURNER'S seventh and eight grades, and MRS. E. H. PASCHALL'S fourth grade. MRS. FLORaEELLE G. BYNUM'S first grade has an enrollment of 28. MRS. EI4MA M. GUNTER'S third and fourth grade has 27 enrol led. The fifth and sixth grade have 25 pupils vath MRS, SARAH S. MAY" as their teacher.
