Crafts finished thus far are: Tv:o new book racks by BRUCE PEHRY, a wall rack by HO!JALD BIS3LTTE, and a sink cabinet by JUNIOR DECENT is in progress. FIRST AT FAIR Walking off with first prize at the county fair, the Bailey chapter netted ■!?U0 as a result of its educational exhibit. According to instructor V/ells the praise goes to the Junior and 'Senior classes who made the ex hibit possible. EDUCATION THROUGH FIUS For educational purposes the agriculture boys have been shown for the past three weeks on class films in the safety driving field. The movies dealt princi pally with highway safety and courtesy. "I hope that some of that information ■vnLll rub off on most of the boys", states "BOSS". For a helping hand and a frtend go see WellS' ChnpterlnThe Running FFfl's Hove Full Ooy fit Fair of PLANTERS NATIONAL BAM Rocky Mount sponsored a parlimeatary procedure contest October 20 at Middlesex in which the Bailey chapter partici pated. Representatives entering in the contest from Bailey were Rufus Beard, Junior Bass, liack Lamm, ' *112 Bunn, and Harvey Denu . Bailey's range was wii'nin the top four, but Nash ville came out first. This contest was closed by a supper in the high school lunchroom served by Parkers. Ortober 17 found the agri- calture boys at the state fair taking in fun and ex hibits . The Bailey chapter chartered a bus to furnish transportation and return ed home at 6:00 P. M, that day. In the fun fest LAMAR FINCH and BILLY GLOVER cap tured many Panda bears. DEPT. GETS NEV;' STOVE "The old catches up v«'ith the new" as the coal-type heater in the agriculture building has jjst been re placed by a modern oil burner.
