,_._BAILEY BUGLE. BAILEY. NORTH CAROLINA. NOVEMBER. 19^2 Fashions end Feds PAGE 17 VIVIAN GLOVER Hello there I I've got simply "heaps" of fashion news to let you style abid* ers in on. I hope the junior and senior girls saw the Popu larity Queens in their beautiful evening dresses on stunt night. Those govms surely gave me a good idea of what will be worn at the Junior-Senior Banquet. GAI, FALL COLORS ANNALEEN MEDLIN and CARO LYN HOWELL are doing their part in bringing out pretty fall colors. Have you noticed the lavender and purple outfit Annaleen wears and the pink sweater and black skirt Carolyn has been sporting around? Tvro of the popular top pers I have noticed being worn, and found in shops, are made of velveteen and poodle-cloth. They "spice up" drab outfits and are tailored for school and date wear* Don't give Dad a bad time if he refuses to buy you a new dress every month or so. We must understand that money is a problem prevalent all over the na tion and we should do our part by limiting our wants. NEATNESS COUNTS One good way to help is to give your clothes the best of care and keep them looking fresh and dainty. If clothes are kept clean and you wear them well, no one will notice whether they be new or old. It has been said, "It’s not what you wear, its how you wear it." That state ment has proved true, BOYS * DEPARTMENT JAMES PAUL STOTT and WAYNE LAMM are flashing the "cat mofit", a favo rite hair style for boys,’ This is one characteristic of a Be-Bop, Very few boys have adopt ed this fad. JENNINGS NIXON, CORNELIOUS BOYKIN, and REX VICK seem to like the neat, sporty outfits. The girls like both styles, but they seem to go. for the neat, simple outfit, a style that is here to stay. Be-Bop,"like all other fads, is clasoj' for a year or two and then gradually fades away. ?? FORD FOR,'53??
