Some of the best written reports were put on the bulletin board to interest others. We also put the covers of some of our most interest ing books on the bulletin board. We will draw pictures to illustrate some of our books and also make post ers . We are enjoying our study of interesting characters from our favorite books. We like to observe Book Week. BY ROBERT BROvJN GRADE 6. Elem. Hi-Lites Curtis Iloore and Richard Privette, eighth graders, dreviT and colored the Thanks giving picture on the blackboard in the lunch room. The boys have also been doing art work for Mrs. S.S. llay's fifth and sixth graders. One hundred-seventy two library books have been ordered by the elementary teachers at the cost of !$238.61i. liiss Emogene Turner, seventh and eighth grade teacher, will become J/Irs. Harvey Evans, Jr. sometime during the Christmas holi days . In connection \\dth their history study M.ts Turn er's class is making log cabins and colonial cos tumes for dolls. Students in the room, re moved old unneeded -desks and put bottoms in some of the other desks that were used. Several pictures portray ing Thanksgiving' are dis played on the bullentin boards. On one of the bullentin bofirds is a large turkey, v;hich was dra'ivn and colored by students. CUSS BEGINS iTOITING Creative writing in the class room is being en couraged by Miss Alice Hardy, third grade teacher.
