Hi, RLADERS 3 Let's start the new year off by look ing our best at all times. The students here in BAILEY HIGH began the year of '53 by looking like "birds in the spring" dressed up in their pretty CHRISTMAS presents, the girls wearing jewelry and sweaters, and the boys sporting new shirts, coats, and, watches, , It's a pity we can't find occasions all the year round to wear the pretty CHRISTMAS corsages and bells that were so out standing during the holi day season. SPOTLIGHTING The fashion spotlight for this month shines on ANN Ei\RP and PEC-GY JEAN EARP wearing their attractive corduroy blouses, and NELDA MAE HIGH and COLLEN MURRAY, who are always seen around school neat and attractive. IVINTER COLORS and FAERICS White, an unusual winter color^ is worn exceedingly well by most everyone. And aren't we glad, because it is so fresh and nice look ing? Have you noticed that wool has completely taken the place of rayon and gaberdine materials? This is an advantage for it is much warmer and doesn't get that shiny look after being worn several times. SCHOOL COLORS I want to congratiilate the CHEER LEADERS on their well-groomed appearance at the basketball games. , The school colors are most effective. I often wonder why these colors, green and gold, aren't worn to BOYS'1 DEPARTMENT The boys’ should be proud to own the classy corduroy shirts they have been sporting arovind. They are the most outstanding article of wearing spparel of the season.
