What many students and community people have longed to see is an imporvement in the school grounds. The home economics classes are meeting this vrish by beginning flower plots between the light breakers of the new building. More effort of this kind would be indicative of community and student interest in the appearance of the grounds. Comments heard both in school and through out the community reveal awareness of the present ground conditions. It is believed that with community organizations and the P.T.A. working cooperatively the grounds could be made more attractive. Certainly the students will take pride in this project and help in whatever vjay possible. 9'Thonk ^ou Con Cover fTlany fl frille For several years North Carolina has transported her students to school by using student drivers for the school buses. These drivers receive a dollar per day, or twenty dollars per month. Occasionally it is necessary for the regular bus drivers to be away from school. To take their places upon such occasions, there are substitute drivers. Admittedly the sub stitutes gain experience from driving for the regular bus drivers, but no one wants to be a tool doing someone else's work without being shown some kindness or remuneration. Senior class of Suffield High School took a trip to Washington this month. The Stvident Council is selling bookcovers. The profit will be donated to CARE.
