Iilothers Entertoin Seniors flt Event , Extra Pose Proves Beneficiul For Seniors January, 19^3 Thirty-two seniors were honored with a Dinner at Parkers in Wilson this month. Joint hostesses for the affair were Mrs, Rupei-t Perry, Mrs, IaT, W, Stott, Mrs. L. T, Lassiter, Mrs. E, T. Manning, Mrs, George Thigpen, and Mrs. Julian Finch, All are grade mothers for the seniors except Mrs, Lassiter, who is tlpie senior sponsor. GIFTS As an expression of appre ciation, LA14/'iR FBIGH, president of the senior class, presented each grade mother with a gift. As a token of gratitude for "having patience with our children" Mrs, ¥, W, Stott, representing the grade mothers, gave Mrs, Lassiter a lovely gift of Cologne, Seasonal mofits were used on the program and menu card. The favors were mini ature horns and multi colored hats. PROGRAM A program of piano select ions was rendered by Judy Fjjich and Mary Ann Edwards, Featured on the program was Shirley Creech sing ing, I'LL !/ALK ALONE, MEMO RIES, and WO TO TANGO, fol lowed by an octette of senior girls singing and dramatizing A MEDLEI OF NURSERI RHYMES. Miss Nancy Dickens, music teacher, planned the program. A combination plate of barbecue and fried chicken, brunsi-jick stew, slaw, potatoes, cornsticks, and iced tea made up the menu. October, 19^2 Seniors save school time and Dad's money, says the advisor, by having an extra pose made for the senior edition of the Bugle by the photographer who took pictures of the entire school in September. The pictures proved satis factory except in the case of three or four students who have had a retake made. This two-birds-at-one- shot idea proved to be cheaper than a regular studio sittings and elimi nated taking time out to go to a studio. Classes NanneOfficGrs For Year September, 19^2 Picking from many well- rounded students, the seniors, juniors, sopho mores and freshmen have voted for their class officers. Upon the shoulders of LAMAR FINCH again this year rests the respon sibility of directing his class through graduation. LAMAR was elected unani mously with JACKIE BRAGG as vice president, FRANCES CARROLL as secretary, and CLARA LOU STOTT, treasurer. SENIOR IMITATIONS February, 1953 Calling cards and invi tations have been se lected by the seniors. The invitations have the new and different Dutch fold. . ■ page h Students Take fen In Office Work January, 1953 Needing office help, M,W. WEAVER, principal, has asked MEIS. LAURINE T. LASSITER, senior homeroom sponsor, to assign senior and junior girls to work in the office during one of their daily study halls. To help in the office first and sixth periods, the assistants must have shorthand and typing.JOYCE WILLIAI'IS and FRANCES CAR.- ROLL have these tvro periods. ANN EARP, a j\mior, is on duty the second period study hall. MAGALINE WILLIAMS works during the third period. CAROLYN HOWELL and JACKIE BRAGG have the fourth and fifth periods. The office girls that type for the Bugle have assistants to replace them when there is typing to be sone for the paper. Those girls are SHIRLEY CREECH, BARBARA LAMI'l, LOIS THIGPEN. Mascots Fete Seniors At Perl On May 1 the senior mas cots, Shelia Chamblee and Phil Creech, entertained the senior class with a wiener roast at the VJilson Recreation Parle. Refreshments consisting of roasted wieners, marsh mallows, pickles, cake, and a variety of cold drinks vrere ser'/ed. FAMOUS FAD The cute Angora hats that SPHRLEY CREECH and several other girls wear to school.
