Junior Magazine Campaign
to exceed all past records,
reported Miss Idalia Ogles
by, junior sponsor.
Billie Faye Perry led the
class in sales by turning
in $252.50 worth of sub
scriptions. She will re
ceive a flash camera out
fit. Edwin Finch was
second, selling $?U.50
worth.
Although $1000 was the
goal set for the class, a
total of ^10li7.U0 was col
lected, surpassing the
highest previous record
by ^13.20

torium windows and a new
piano are projects of the
year sponsored by the PTA,
as voted upon at the Octo
ber meeting.
Curtains have been guar
anteed by the Continental
School Equipment Company
if the PTA will name a mem
ber to ride with the re
presentative of the com
pany as she solicits adver

Plans for the Halloween
Carnival, as revealed by
the Finance committee at
the last PTA meeting, will
be in four parts; program
in the auditorium, cake
walks, popularity contest,
and the carnival. The
price will be 10 cent?
for everybody.
The program for the even
ing will be given by Mrs.
Rudolph Glover’s rhythm
band and Miss Clee Bat
man's third grade. The
latter will give a short
play entitled, "Jack O'
Lantern at Home,"
Following this will come
the cake walks. There will
be three walks. Mrs. Har
vey Evans Jr. and Miss
Idalia Oglesby will be in
charge of the walks and
the selling of tickets.

entrance fee of 50 cents.

Child’s Work
Only 36 visits were made
in response to the inmta-
tion given the parents to
visit the school at the
end of the six-week grad
ing period to discuss
their children's work with
the tefiQher, according to
the reports made by the
teachers.
These visits did not re
present 36 parents, as
some of the mothers had
children in more than one
room. The exact nvuiiber of
parents represented by the
36 visits is not defini
tely known.

Red Cross
Answering the call to be
come a member of the Amer
ican Junior Red Cross, the
students of Bailey High
responded by donating
#22,79.
Any student contributing
one penny became a member.
Miss Rachol Bissette's
seventh grade led in the

Mrs, Laurine Lassiter's
ninth grade A was second,
