use of equipment is stress
ed in the farm shop pro
gram, declares Boss.
The proper operation of
power tools is very sim
ilar to proper use of pow
er equipment at home. All
danger areas in the use of
proper guards is fully
stressed, Boss said.
The boys are learning the
need for having equipment
with sharpened blades and
how to use them in the
proper working conditions.
A famous expression,
"Familiarity breeds con
tempt," holds true in the
use of all power equipment,
with evidence shovm not
only in shop but also at
home in the operation of
tractores and other equip
ment, Boss further added.
Bailey's young farmers
were served by Parkers,
Monday night at their meet'
ing in Bailey,
According to adviser
Wells, the purpose of the
meeting was to discuss
pigs and their merit as
human food.
BissetteTops In Corn
Again this ysar Lewis
Bissette is recognized as
the top corn producer in
the Bailey Chapter, Boss
Wells reveals,
Lewis won an award last
year for having the most
bushels of corn per acre
in the Nash-Edgecombe dis
trict .
