The last themes were due this week. After each student had turned in his theme, he made a report on it to the class in order to share the knowledge he had gain ed with the class. Incluaed among the sub jects reported on were Shakespeare, the man, his cnaracters and playsj Chau cer and his Canterbury Tales^ a number of great English novelsj English cathedrals and theatersj different periods of Eng lish literature] the ef- \ feet of the Crusades upon literature, and others. Teachers report that their registers reveal that conduct grades for the past reporting period have increased but that grades are "slightly" bet ter. Four out of six of the high school homeroom teach ers by comparing records of the first and second grading periods gave proof that conduct points have increased. Five out sf the six, when asked about the grades in comparison with last month's, replied, "There's a slight improvement, but still they’re nothing to brag about." Page 20 Th©at© Sim. - MON.
