Students School opened this year ■to find 28 new students In high school• They are Maria Boone, Carl Baines, Garland High, and twenty- five students from Mo\int Pleasant, Maria comes from Newport News, Virginia, and is in Mss Idalia Oglesby's twelfth grade, Carl is from Spring Hope and is in Miss Edith Farmer’s elev enth grade. He moved here when his mother began work as a ntarse for Dr. M. R, Freeman. Garland High has returned after a year at Norfolk, Virginia, and is in W, G, Edward’s tenth. FRESHMAN CUSS The freshmen classes com bined have seventy-three students; twenty-five ace from Mount Pleasant, Five of the freshmen from Mount Pleasant have bro thers and sisters in high school.
