OCTOBER. 19^U SchoolStondsToGain Added H.S.Teacher If the 211 students en rolled in high school will attend school regularly enough to average 200 stu dents present each day, the high school will have an additional teacher next year, Principal M. U, weav er' points out. In discussing this possi bility of an extra teacher, Principal Weaver listed a number of advantages the students will gain: 1. It could free the prin cipal from teaching class es and give him time to do what he needs to do, 2. It would relieve the past-time librarian from study hall duties, 3. The extra teacher would give pupils addition al courses, U, It would enable over size classes to be divided. By having sraaller classes the teacher could give more attention to the weak er students and thereby re duce failures. Weaver said that the State would determine the 290-average attendance on the best consecutive six out of first seven months of the school year. He further stressed the fast that it v/as to the students interest to be at school every day.
