Away you go I You'll have more fun by the busload if you abide by the rules and regula tions. You board your school bus. You sit where you like. You talk to anyone close by. It is the easiest way to meet new students. For school bus courtesy, here are some pointers; 1, Your driver's schedule is made out to get all to school on time. Delay of even one minute per stop adds up, so be ready at least five minutes before the bus is due and be out waiting. 2. If your bus stop is a- way from home, respect pri vate property at the meet ing place. You're a pass ing guest, not a home steader. 3, Treat your driver as one with complete authori ty. He is responsible for your safety, correct con duct of all aboard, be tween home and school. What he says, goes I No mu tiny; you want to ride, not riot I U, Take pride in your bus. It's "public property," Hold back that urge to cut initials, scrawl names, and make other marks, 5. Keep, your bus clean. Don't toss trash on the floor or out the windows for city clean-up squads or tidy farmers to pick up. Keep it until you can place it into a convenient waste basket or trash box, 6, Quiet, please. Hush the sound effects in traf fic or travel. Drivers are tested for good hearing, but how can they hear a horn blow if you blare like a Dixieland band? OUT OF THE PAST February, 19iil SCHOOL WINS ENCYCLOPEDIA A set of the Junior Bri- tannica Encyclopedia has been donated to the Bailey High School library by Sears, Roebuck & Company for school achievement. Outright this set of twelve volumes costs fifty- five dollars and is a valu able contribution to any school library.
