Tests ,• Srs-,Froshs, Aptitude Because there have been several "minor" accidents in the past few weeks caused by one school bus following too closely to another, the North Cai'o- lina Department of Motor Vehicles passed a ruling on February 2 affecting all North Carolina school bus drivers. The ruling states; "Any school bus driver follow ing nearer than 300 feet to another school bus is to be charged with care less and reckless driving." Any school ' bus Driver caught violating this rule will have his school bus license revoked, is also emphasized. M. W. Weaver, Principal, declares, "¥e are glad to One of .the three I. Q. (.Intelligence Quotient) tests taken by students during their school life was given to the sopho mores this month by C, H, Fries, Jr., assistant County Superintendent. On the same day the freshmen and seniors had aptitude tests. Principal M. W. Weaver reports that the purpose of the I. Q. test is to get information on the ability of the students in school. He also points out that the aptitude tests help the students to de cide what courses to take in high school that will better prepare them' for the vocation for which they are best suited, co-operate with the ruling.
