Juniors Assume Task Of Publishing TwolssuesOf Bugle □XI nn mm CDHIID -y- Junior English classes, after gaining experience in news writing, pleaded for a rebirth of the Bugle. It was agreed by thp.ir teacher and principal that they night publish two issues. As a result of only five students’ registering for journalism, the Bugle was sttolished for the school year *55-’56, "A distaste for nine months of hard work and a lack of interest proved to he the reason,” say former staff members. During the year the jun ior English classes kept the school news before the public by having articles published in the daily newspapers coming to Bai ley. This project creatad an interest on the part of the juniors to begin pub lishing the Pugle again. It was decided that two issues of the Bugle would be published. There would be an April and a IVky issue. The April issue is covering the news of thcs school year up to the pre sent; the Vky issue will be mainly the commencement editiono tn] nrj is.1 iHi Ullffll Open House Exhibits SchcolAt Work Preparations for displays of the year's work by the Bailey High School teach ers and students for Open House on Thursday night, March 8, "were rewarded with the high appraisal" of the parents and neigh bors from the surrounding community, announced Prin cipal, M, W. Weaver,on the following morning. Annually the PTA meeting in March is designated as Open House for parents and friends interested in get ting an idea of the work covered by the students during the year, SHOW CLASS WORK Projects, individual and group, art work, indivi dual samples of class work, and class activities were on display. Concluding the evening's Open House, the hospita lity chairman, i''Irs, Elton Horton, and her committee served refreshments in the home economics building. Accidonis Defrand Student Careful!ness Pointing out a total of 30 accidents recorded for the first six months of the school's operation. Principal M, W. Weaver of Bailey urges the students to be more careful. According to Weaver, there are $'^1 insureds, paying a total of $571. Already accident claims have amounted to 1685,50 or $llii,50 over the amouni paid in, he says. Weaver declares, "If we don't become more careful and cut out some oif the accidents around school, I am afraid that our insur ance rates are going up,’’
