Bailey, North Carolina, April. 19^6 ChQpel Programs Add Bimonthly Diversion Every two weeks various classes in Bailey High School stage chapel pro grams for the double pur pose of entertaining the other students and giving stage experience to the performers. Beginning the new school term's chapel programs, seniors reviewed thsIr summer activities. In descending order, other classes have presented programs, To advertise their maga zine contest, the juniors patterned their program on the television program, "The Big ’M'”, describing the various magazines and the percentage profit the Page 17. BHS Boasts 9 Proctice Teochers For the first time in its history, Bailey High School has had nine prac tice teachers during the school year. The home economics de partment lays claim to six of these teachers from East Carolina College. Their adviser says, "Hav- juniors would receive from the contest. Different from previous programs, Mrs. Howard Farmer’s sopho mores gave a competitive song feast. Other programs brought out holiday ideas: Hallow een, Thanksgiving, Christ mas, Valentine, George Washington's birthday, and Easter, For variety, radio programs and talent shows have, in a few instances, furnished program ideas. _^ing practice teachers has been a new experience for me. It stimulates in terest and brings about new ideas." From State College have come two men doing their practice teaching in the agricultural department. According to J, H. Wells, adviser, "They were like able boys and did a right good job at practice teach ing, but I don’t think they are particularly in terested in teaching. Both boys had a chance to teach after they graduated but turned it down," One young man from Atlan tic Christian College did his practice teaching in the math department.
