First Recital Coming April 20; 2nd,Moy Two-piano numbers will be featured for the first time in seven years at the coining music recitals, scheduled April 20 and Ifey 11, Mrs. Eloise Johnson, teacher, points out, Mrs. Johnson's 38 piano pupils and three voice stu dents at this time are mem orizing and perfecting their recital numbers. Not having been featured since ^&rs, Johnson’s first year of teaching here, the two- piano works are "looked forward to." By teaching sacred, clas sical, semiclassical, pop ular, and duet music, Mrs, Johnson hopes to broaden the pupils' ability to play different types of music. Teaching piano and voice students at Mt. Pleasant and Sims, Mrs. Johnson has 11 pupils at the first school and ten at the latter. The Mt. Pleasant recital date is Ifey 9, As usual there will be no re cital at Sims, but the stu dents will present their numbers at Bailey, May 11. Asked about medals for this year. Mrs. Johnson states, "l£ is still a debatable question} if I do, just for those doing Exceptionalf work."
