APRILj Library Growth Excels Any Other Year When the doors of Bailey- High School clospi on Ifey 21, thoy will signify the end of a year witnessing "more .progress" in the high school library "than in any other previous year" is the opinion of Miss Idalia Oglesby, librarian. At the beginning of the year, Miss Oglesby and her 31 assistants transferred the entire library collec tion into the former study hall where the county had added 30 new adjustable shelves. The old library was converted into a work and conference room. To aid the readers in locating recent materials in magazines, an Abridged Readers' Guide was purchas- ed in October, BOOK VffiEK Book week, November 13-19, found the entire staff decorating the library with book cover and bulle tin board displays for a browsing tea, to which all teachers were invited. This tea offered the teachers an opportunity to observe the changes and improve ments made and to acquaint them with the books. In January. 66 new books were processed, increasing the number of books avail able to students to approx imately 2100, Aided by Miss Oglesby, students have arranged bulletin board exhibits pertaining to the particu lar month or special holi days.
