BHS PROVIDES PR.ES. For the first time in several years, Bailey merits an officer of the Nash-Franklin County FHA Club, Senior BARBARA BOYKIN will preside at the bi county meeting next spring. "It is an experience we'll never forget," said four BHS students in re lating facts about their trip to Chicago for the Future Homemakers of Amer ica Convention this summer. Traveling by train, SONJA MANNING and lANE FARi'iER, s'eniors, and i\RLENE VICK and SUE WEAVER, juniors, attended the FHA conven tion held at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Chicago, July 1-7, Two of the del egates were sponsored by the chapter, which paid half their expenses, and the other two paid all their expenses, THEME The theme of the conven tion was "You, in Home, Chapter, Community, and School". This topic was the main discussion in assemblies and small dis cussion groups. Mrs. Billie Davis and Samuel Brownell were the keynote speakers for the week. The Bailey girls will give a skit at the dis trict rally,in October on their experiences at Chicago, GIflLS AWAIT INITIATION Initiation day, October 2:, is "anticipated" by-fresh men FH/i'ers, A committee met last week to plan the initiation and the instr.lation service that will take place in the school auditorium on Tuesday night, October 2. Following the service, the girls are planning a weiner roast on the sdhool ground. S.
