JJl. 1 lA. // Boys Train At Camp To learn the fundamentals of basketball, to play on different size courts, and to gain experience, four high school boys attended a basketball training camp at Campbell College for a week in late July^ Jimmy Dew, Fred Lamm,J*W, Bissette and Hodges Pre- vette from Bailey were a- mong 150 boys from all over North Carolina train ed at Campbell College for the up-coming season, PR/iCTICE Learning the basic facts of the game and scrimmag ing consumed 9 hours of the early-started da;r. Thej players practiced on three different size courts. Coach "Bonos" McKinn :y of Wake Forost, with the as sistance of coaches . In neighboring collegGs, or- gcjiie.ed the training crjip for all high school boys interested in basketball. For their training and week's lodging, the ' boys ppid a fee of *25.00. The gym floor has b ,-.::n re paired, probably the first of October. Please como * out and view the teams. We are boasting that Bai ley has two of the fastest guards in Nash County this year. This honor goes to Faye Lamm and Christie L. Finch... (■-3 T* ^ Competing for a place on the boys squad will bo approximately one senior, three juniors, and a num ber of freshmen and sopho mores.
