On her face ms a coat of cold cream and big red (lipstick) freckles. She was carrying her books and a shoe shine kit in a brown tow sack, and on her back ms a 2' X 2' sign that read "I shine shoes for any price." To anyone who saw a girl fitting the nbove discrip- tion on Tuesday, October2, please let me explain. She wasn't crazy—she was mere ly being initiated into the Fffii. And after that day she really dfcserves her membership 1 That was one day when all we uppor-clasemen really wore clean shoes. Thanks girls J All thope cheap shines wore XTclcomcd. But wc wonder—what hap pened to thoso ideas about polishing socks.
