She goes to her closet to choose her attire for this, a I'londay, school day. Fin gering through the racks of dresses, skirts, and sweaters, she decides a bright color might boost her moral and help make the day less dreary for others, After dressing in a bright red skirt and sweat er, rain coat, boots-all accentuated by a colorful umbrella, she trudges off to meet her assigned school bus. Arriving at school, she finds that other girls and boys have had the same thought about their cloth ing for the day. As she travels down the hall toward her class roo:?., she sees shades of pink^ red, jade green, orange, bright blue, yellow-all intended to cheer a rainy day for someone else and to bring autumn's usual color parade inside the school building. PTA SEES FILM "Preface To A Life", a film revealing the influ ence parents have on their children as they are grow ing up, was shown at the October meeting of the PTA, Mrs. T. C. May's fifth grade in elementary grades and Miss Edith Farmer’s ninth grade in high school won the banners for having the highest perconUige of parcnt.o present. During the 1955-1956 school year, ,the nvimber of accidcnts occurring at Bailey High School tripled the average allowance of l5 for each school, accord ing to the office report. Principal M. W, Weaver asks that the students be more careful in school ac tivities and heed all safe ty precautions. Patrolman Clarence Lamm states, "the chief causes of teen age accidents are speeding and showing off." As a means of decreasing Bailey Dry Cleaners accidents, BHS students are taught a traffic safe ty course,- which is re- Quired before graduation.
