F, Lewis, lunchrooBi super visor. All lunches include the 7 basic foods: a meat, veg etable, fruit, milk, des sert, bread, and butter, Mrs. Lewis reports. Menu Each menu is chocked by the State School Lunch Pro gram to see if it contains all the necessary vitomins. For the month of October the government gave the lunchroom a quanity of can ned roast pork, boil ham, pinto and lima beans, and cheese. The menus for the month were built around these surplus comi.iodities, Mlk is sold to any stu dent for 30 a cup. During September, 12,020 cups were purchased ty students and tcachers. Workers J^rs.^oretto Lamm and Ifrs. E. 0. Strickland assist Mrs. Lewis in the lunch room. Twenty-three stu dents also help cach day. These people prepare and serve an average of Ii^O student plates daily and 17 adult plates. Coon for a short time, MAG BOWEN, former Bailey High School student, has re turned to resume his stud ies .here, VJhen Mac's parents moved to Wilson last year, he enrolled at Charles L, Coon, Deciding he likes Bailey better, he has returned to graduate with the present senior class. For their second book re ports the juniors made something to illustrate their books: posters, book marks, costume dolls, book lets, dra;jlngs, designing of houses, to name a few.
