Bill BroT-m and Clarence Harris, completed their eleven weeks of practice teaching at Bailey, January l8, "Both men were above aver age in popularity with their classes as well with their quality of Tirork", states Advisor 'jells. They are to graduate from North Carolina State College in June. Tommy Glover, graduate of Bailey High School, finish ed his practice teaching at South Edgecombe this term. Graduating from North Carolina State Col lege January 2h, he will become a teacher of agri culture at Rich Square, January 28, With an adult class of 2? farmers, Adviser Wells engaged In 90 hours of in struction work last year. This included field trips and class room work. STUO'tNTS GIVE SUPPEK As a token of apprecia tion for the cooperation shown in helping them supplement their treasuryj chapter members entertain ed the "calendar advertis ers" with a supper in the agriculture building ear lier this month. Approximately fifteen mer chants and businessmen who advertised in' the FFA cal endar were present at the supper. The menu consisted of bar- beque chicken, bread and pepsi-colas. Study Bogins For Contest Study for the tool identi fication to take place at Dillion Supply Company in Rocky Mount February l8 has begun for ninth grade ag, students. There is about 225 tools and materials to be learn ed. They include metal and wood working tools, cover ing electrical devices also. Students from ■ the ninth grade are the only ones eligible. Four members from the ninth grade ag, class v;ill compose the team. AG. TEAM CAPTURES FIFTH PLACE Four Ag. members, repre senting Bailey in the Npsh- Sdgecombe Federation Seed Judging Contest, placed fifth in corT5>etion with ten other teams last month at Gold Rock, North Caro lina. The boys prepared for the contest by studj'-ing dif ferent types of grain, grasses, and weeds. In all there were about 125 dif ferent varieties of seed. Although the team placed fifth, it was the highest score made by any Bailey team in the last several years. Members on the team were Dallas Glover, Dale Wells, Jimmy Dew, and Charles Williams, J.W.
