This question needs to be raised in the minds of our teen-age group be cause they must begin get ting ready long before the senior year of high school. Never before has a col lege degree been a require ment for so many jobs. Never have so many people been interested in getting degrees before. Fifty years ago one youth in 2h continued his education after high school; now it's 1 in 3j within ten years it will probably be 1 in every 2. Your chances of getting in college depend largely on your choices and how well you prepare yourself. "Changing Times" gives the following suggestions for students: 1. Develop interest and. drive. 2. Plan early so that you can choose during your high school days. 3. Decide on the type of college you would like to attend. Ii. Make good grades. Strive to be in thetbp third of your class. 5. Take the right courses. 6. Show evidence of good character. 7. What your principal says about you counts a lot. 8. The things you do out side your courses are significant. 9. Choose one or two activ ities and go at them seriously. 10. Don't neglect your stu dies. Outside interests won't eompensate for low jgi-ades. 11.
