■BAILEY BUGLE. BAILEY. MORIH CAROLINA. FEBRUARY. 19^7 PAGE 8 It^S In Their B lood By-AUce Ruth Issette To me it seems as though popularity, leadership a- bility, or whatever you may call it must run in the family, because near ly all class officers who have a brother or sister in high school find that brother or sister a class officer also. POPUUR ONES For example, Charles Wil liams is a senior officer; his sister Shirley, a junior officer, Sonja Man ning is senior treasurer; Linda Manning, her sister, is freshman vice-presi dent, Vice president of the junior class is Katy Horton, while brother Jasper is sophomore presi dent, Junior class treas urer is Sue Weaver, whose sister Janet is freshman president. Another exam ple is the Wells brothers whose leadership blood predominates, WELLS BROTHERS If you have anything at all to do with BHS, you probably know the Wells brothers, James and Dale, seniors but not twins, and C, V,, a freshman. Neither of these boys may be the most popular boy in school, but I think I am safe in saying that they are the most popular brothers at BHS, James is senior class president, FFA president, driver for the activity bus when used for basket ball games, and for bus number 136, the larg est school bus at Bailey, In addition he has a let- pitcher. Senior class treasurer and FFA secretary is Dale, who is also a letterman in baseball, C, V., a freshman, hasn’t had time to acquire all the honors coming his bro thers' ways, but as class historian he reveals some of that inherited blood also. In the grammar grades, Kenneth Wells, who is knoT-m as Shorty, is follow ing fast in brother James's steps as a base ball pitcher. We feel sure that he'll make news for Bailey in the future. TEACHER HOPES INCREASE "If BHS students will get on the ball and come to school, Bailey will get its additional teacher," states M, VJ, V/eaver, prin cipal, at the end of the fifth month.
