"BLESS THIS HOUSE, OH LORD WE PRAY" Let's Toke A Look — For a brief idea of what the FHA and home economics girls have been doing this month, let’s take a quick glance at the calendar, schedules, and plans of the group. . March 6~Serve FFA supper March 7—FHA Meeting March 8--Sock hop March 29-Mother-Daughtcr Banquet All senior home economics students are nearing com pletion of their garments. These garments arc, in most cases, dresses with matching coats, or suits. The sophcsnores arc making skirts• Poor parents, brothers, and sisters ! The freshmen are on their foods unit and each girl must cook h2 meals, (Just teasing girls, I'm sure you'll make good cooks.) Days come and go, each with its new problems, but life goes on around the home economics department as the girls face new units, set new drtes, and make new plans. BY BOYKIN Sisters Help Brothers Fifteen FHA girls served as waitresses for their brother organization, the FFA, at its annual Father- Son Banquet in the school cafeteria on March 6. A meal consisting of bar becue, boiled potatoes, slaw, corn bread, soft drinks, and coffee was served to 130 fathers, sons, and guests by senior FHA'ers. Barbara Boykin, Keith Glover, Yvonne Mcaccwies, Jo Ellen Finch, Beebe Eat- mon, Sonja Manning, Betty FHA Presents Progrom Panelist answer questions for high school students as girls sponsor program at FHA meeting in the school auditorim. At the program for the regular meeting last month, the FHA girls sponsored a panel discussion and invit ed each class to attend, Mrs, Dean Whicker, Miss Idalia Oglesby, Lane Farm er, James Wells, and Kaye Kiggs served as panelists. Questions for the discus sion were taken from, boxes that had been placed in various spots over the school for students• con venience . Boykin, Nancy Dew, Jane Earp, Mary Ella Glover, Arlene Jordan, Faye Lamm, Peggy Braswell, Elizabeth Warren, Louise V^ells, and Annette Davis served the supper.
