Students reported that they "enjoyed the enter taining games and dancing." Refreshments consisted of [?reen punch, green and white cake squares, and salted peanuts. Sophomore grademothers, who are Mrs. Carl Mitchell, Mrs. Ed Cozart, Mrs. Elton Manning, Mrs. LeamonTapp, and Mrs. George Lamm, were the hostesses for this occasion. GIRLS BRING HONOR TO CLASS Two of the sophomore girls, Andra Cozart and Ann Brock, have brought high honor to their class this year. Andra was named as one of the all-county girl for wards in basketball. Ann was elected by the high school students to repre sent them in the Bailey Christmas parade. SOPHOMORE CLASS OFFICERS In Mrs. Lassiter's home room, Betty Beard is presi dent; Andra Cozart, vice- president; Ann Brock, sec retary; Talmad?:c Whitley, treasurer; and Vickie Mea- comes, historian. In Mr. Widgeon’s section, Pattie Sue Bailey is president, Sue Page, vice-president; ina Phyllis Mftnning, sec- retary-treasurer. StudeitsfVesentRecitol Last night the first of the annual music recitals was presented. It consist ed of 13 piano solos, 8 duo piano numbers, and 1 piano duet. Members of the high school Glee Club par ticipated with a selection of two numoers. May 8 is the date set for the second recital which will be held in the high school auditorium. Enrolled are ten elemen tary students, five high school students, and tv/o adults, making a total of seventeen pupils. The participating students are under the direction of Mrs. Eloise F. Johnson. 'LUNCHROOM R.ATES 97 visiting the Bailey School cafeteria during the last part of 1958, Mrs. Kathyrn Woodard, state supervisor, gave the lunch room a rating of 97 >per cent. "Lunches are well-pre pared; servings, ample. Everything in the kitchen and dining area is spot lessly clean. Student labor is well sut)ervised and iseautifully trained," stated Mrs. Woodard. The cafeteria is operated by Mrs. K, F. Lewis, Mrs. E. L. Strickland, and Mrs. Eyerette Lamm. & J. L.
