Readers After nine yeai"s> now editions have renlaced old literature books in Nash County Schools, The following: students were asked hov/ they liked the new literature books. "I like them, they are a big change from the old ones," replied Andra Cozart, "They have more pictures and up-to-date information, They also keep you interested” an swered Barbara Carroll. V/hen asked hov; she liked them, Beth Harris said, "I enjoy the poetry and es says. The pictures make it more interesting." Judy Smith agreed, "I like the stories and poetry. Monthly room count has been won by the following rooms: Mrs. Meacones, Mrs, Barnes, Mi’s. Glover, Miss Bissette, lirs. BroX'rn- ing. Miss Oglesby, and Miss Farmer, the latter having won it five tirnes, SELLING ICE CREAM Profits from selling ice cream for January, Feb ruary, and March, accord ing to lirs. Brock, school secretary, wore 0273.79. "Moving the ice crejxn box from the lunchroom to the bookroom downstairs be cause of a Federal law has increased the sale of ice cream tremendously", states M. VJ. Weaver, prin cipal. In charge of selling ice cream from 12:00 to 12:25 arc Barbara Carroll and Mrs. Marshall Brock. Bailey High School is not an advertiser but it proudly boasts that its twenty-one teachers have a combined total of 3$h years of teaching experi ence.
