MILLEH EASON
Miller Eason, the Quakes 5
feet 8 inch, 160 pound Co-captain
is the sportrait honoree for the
month. Miller has played varsity
ball for three years, while serving
on the junior squad for one year.
When asked what he thought of
the team’s chances for the rest
of the season, he replied that if
the team played its best, they
can win the rest of the games
and come out second in the con
ference. He says that the team'
has played well and hard most
of the season, especially against
Wilson.
Miller says that he plans to wan
der up State College way this
spring after he graduates.
Miller just loves fried chicken
and chocolate pie. When it gets
around to the lighter side of life,
mainly movies and girls, he says
he’ll take Alan Ladd for his
actor and for the actress, well he
just loves all the women. As for
Miller’s gal, he didn’t tell it, but
everyone knows how he rates with
Erline Griffin. |
Sports isn’t all Miller shines in. |
COTTON KLUTZ
John Robert Klutz, co-captain
of this year’s Earthquakers eleven,
was born in the Goldsboro Hos
pital September 9, 1929.
“Cotton,” as he is better
known around school, stands six
feet one inch, has blue eyes and
blond hair. He started playing
sports his freshman year and made
the Varsity team in both football
and basketball. He is also a
member of the Varsity club.
His interests, aside from sports,
that is, center around guns, hunt
ing, fishing, and eating. He is no
exception on the latter, we all
agree on that.
“Cotton” would also make it
known that he likes friendly peo
ple and good movies. His favo
rite movie is “The Yearling” and
his favorite actor and actress are
Gregory Peck and Betty Grable.
He was president of his junior
class and at present is president of
the Varsity Club. He also works
with the backstage lighting crew
in dramatics.
