One of the rules for the game is — a student can not participate twice in a game, unless every one else has already participat ed once. Lossie Deans took an absentee’s place. The number one soul sound across the nation is “I’ll Be Around” by the Spinners, This Is their first big recording on the Atlantic label, and wow, it’s nearing the mllllonseller mark. This is their best since “It’s A Shame.” Huh, what’s that you say. Something about my main man Freddie! He’s dead. “Fred die’s Dead” (theme from Super fly) has to pen America by storm. But dig it. Superfly is now the number one al bum. Now to break it down to the real and natural thing , , , from out of Philly came the fabu lous Harold Melvin and Blue Notes singing: “H You Don’t Know Me By Now”. This sound has blown my soul lovin’ mind. The name of the group doesn’t hit me but that sound has got to be it, A1 Green has done it again. How can he always come up with that special sound, "You Ought To Be With Me” will grow, grow, grow, and grow to be another million seller. The Tempts have come up with over seven minutes of soul. “Papa Was A Rolling Stone” is an excellent combination of vo- cablzatlon and musical har mony. The best new single of the week belongs to The Undesput- ed Truth, Girl You’re Alright and the album of the week Is “Reeper of The Castle” by the Four Tops, I like to say wel come back Levi, Lawrence, Du ke, and O.B. This Is their best since ‘Still Waters Run Deep.’ Songs to watch are: That’s How Love Goes, by Jermaine Jackson, I’m Stone in Love with You, by Stylistics, Theme From “The Men”, by Ike Hayes. The number one gospel album Is “Amazing Grace,” by Are tha Franklin and James Cleve land. James Cleveland a re noun gospel singer teamlngwith the great Arethatosingthepra ises of God. I congratulate them on this great effort in gos pel entertainment. Right On! CONTACT TROUBLED? UPTIGHT? 443-5144 Someone Cares...
