They find the Junk-raom door I A nois3^ group of freshmen, Walking four abreast. Are stopped by Mr» Arnold And scolded v/ith a zest, "Now, boys and girls, I know 3^ou^re new I take that for a fact - But v/atch that group of Seniors there; They’ll show you how to act* V/alk single file and very slow; ilnd never push or crov/d. If any have remarks to make, Talk quietly - not so loud I” Disheartened little freshmen, V/ith heads no'j hanging low, Try to hide embarrassment By whistling as they go. Their tunes are stopped in record-time, By a voice quite stern. ’'I’ve warned you time and time again I Oh, v/ill you never learnj I On chapel days upon the stage I talk myself delirious 1 Now here you are^ at it again- This matter’s getting seriousJ 0 'z. ffr o You^ve been here long enough^it seems, To learn a thing or two. And if you break the rules again, I know just whr.t I’ll do I” A Month Later A crov/d of jaunty freshmen Marching dov/n the hall.
