McMANUS POLLY MARTIN Personality, energy, friendliness, good humor and scholastic ability are the characteristics that make Polly Martin one of the most out standing seniors in Albemarle high school. Polly, a member of the National Honor Society, is treasurer of the Student Council, President of the Black Masque Dramatic club, and a cheerleader who really has “it”. Polly, whose real name in Mary Pauline, rates Laurence Olivier, Rosalind Russell, and Errol Flynn as the best movie stars. As for eats, Polly says, “I could eat Health Bars forever.” Swimming and tennis are her favorite sports, and “Gone With the Wind” is the best book she has ever read, although it kept her busy for a long time. Bookkeeping is Polly’s favorite subject, and “Only Forever” ii song she could sing all day. When asked why she continually hops from one foot to the other, Polly answered with her favorite expression, “So wot?” “If I had a million dollars,” said Polly, “I’d buy lots of clothes and then travel.” Polly’s sole ambition at present to stop biting her fingernails. Eves B™"n Hair Dark and Wavy These facts sum up Lloyd ‘Juner” Skidmore, well-liked per sonality plus student who is now chairman of the Chapel Program committee. “Juner” has been outstanding i Student Council for the past tw years and in sports ever since h entered Albemarle high school. Among the screen stars, “Skid “Juner”, gives Linda Darnell and Spencer Tracy first places. Beginning with his favorite pression, “Oh Yeah!”, “Skid” told us, “I can eat everything but cab bage and turnips.” Football gets highest honor the way of sports. Stories of adventure rate among the best books, according to “Skid”; however. Cooper is his favorite author. ‘If I had a million dollars,” he d, “I would save $900,000 and the easiest way get rid of the other $100,000.” When Lloyd graduates, he plans to enter Georgia Tech and major in aeronautical engineering.
