For years, ; t C. has served as chairman of clean-up committee, chair- of building and grounds, ogn of janitorial workers of H.S, an invaluable member of maintenance corps, and pres et of the Broomsters club. jfOnly 5’ 9» in stature, it is amaz- ;og that he has so much vitality, [ir IS most familiar when dash- € through the halls, quickly gid efficiently doing his duties. I’^^use of the nature of his work , > A.H.S., and because it requires much of his time, Mr. Hailey IS very few outside interests and g^tivities. He can, however, be almost every Saturday on jfe streets of metropolitan Al- •marle, doing his shopping, and I'ii ^^^'^^day nights, he can be Q f at the fish fry, enjoying ® f?^vorite pastime of eating fid singing. - ■^°^her quality, that has made • Hailey, J.A.H.S., the shining access that he is today, is his pen sense of business matters. •IS said that he drives a hard l^rgain, “parring for the best, f: iving for the cream”. As Mr. J C. Morris, S.T.A.H.S., once said, “E. C. Hailey, J.A.H.S., in my opinion, is the type of man that has made Albemarle High fam ous. His sense of fairness, his pioneer spirit, and his business ability make him envied by all, a man among men!” Since his graduation from Kingville Tech, Mr. Hailey, J.A. H.S., has been a faithful and earnest member of the fac- culty. Because of his services, we take this opportunity to thank him sincerely, and wish him luck in his campaign for President of the Honorable North Carolina Order of Janitorial and Hall Workers.
