For several months Mrs. Saunders’ room has had a United Nations Club and they have kept up with the lat est events on the U. N. The club gave the program exactly as a U. N. meeting would be held, with all the members present. The program gave all the members a chance to tell their troubles and the latest events. The room was arranged with the desks in a semi-circle just like the U. N.’s meeting room. Each country represented had a card on its desk with the name of the country on it. When this part of the program was completed, the class gave a patriotic program and some of the class read some of their English papers. After this, John Robert Taylor sang “Yankee Doodle Dandy” as the conclud ing number of the program. Williams Sends In DAR Scrapbook Carolyn Williams, DAR Good Citizen, has completed her scrap book and sent it to Oak Ridge, N. C., to be judged. The theme of Carolyn’s book is Periods in History and in cludes all of her school, church, and civic activities in the ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades under the titles of The Dark Ages, The Middle Ages, The Renaissance, The Modern Ages, The Crusadefe, and Community Life, respectively. C. to be held in Chapel Hill on March 9 and 10. Participation is by invitation only, the delegates being guests of the university, with meals and lodging furnished. Members of the Advisory Com mittee on Educational Admini stration will participate in the conference, and there will be two representatives from each of the colleges and universities which give graduate courses in school administration.
