But John David is not just a football play er. The four years he has spent in high school he has been one of the leaders of his class. When in the ninth^grade, Moose was the unanimous choice of his classmates to be their first pres ident. Again this year they chose him for their president. Although sports take up a lot of his time John David is still a fine student. He is a member of' Mixed Chorus and is an ac tive member of 'several clubs. This was really Moose’s year in football. He was elected co captain of the team. At the end of the season he was selected for the all-conference team. A climax came to his high school career when he was given a well- deserved invitation to the annual Shrine Bowl game. Playing a defensive halfback, Moose played a great game, making many tac kles and breaking up several passes. Football isn’t Moose’s only sport; he is a guard on the basket ball team and plays outfield on the baseball team. Any night when Moose isn’t playing ball or studying, you will find him at the show with the gang, especially if Marlon Brando is playing. It might sound funny but Moose’s favorite food is fresh corn and green beans. John David hasn’t decided which college yet, but you can be sure the college that gets him will have a fine athlete, a good student, and a great leader. of Pennsylvania for her nurse’s training.
