February 12, 1960 THE FULL MOON Page 3 Ragde's Report To Teens By RELFEL RAGDE MAC, THE DAGGER All mystery lovers are advised to read the new exciting mys- tery-comedy, MAC, THE DAG GER, by little Billy Shake-A- Lance. Shake-A-Lance keeps most of the audience on its feet throughout the play with its dra matic buildups and comical si tuations. (This is mainly because there were few seats.) This is the story about Mac the Dagger who got the “big eyes” and how no one including Mrs. Mac was able to calm him down. Like, in the beginning, Mackie and his companion. Banquet, are returning from a battle which they just won. (After all, who ever heard of a hero losing a battle?) They are stopped by three witches, who ruin the whole story by predicting what’s going to happen. After seeing the witches, they go to see the King and Mac invites the King to “bug the pad.” While the King is visiting Mac the Dagger^s house, the fuh»iest scene of the play, at which the audience bursts out laughing, takes place. It happens when Mackie sneaks into the King’s room and tickles the King’s heart with his dagger. The King, who gets the point of this gesture, is so overcome that he does not speak to Mac or anyone else for the rest of the play. After , this. Mac is so riled up that he starts eliminating the whole cast. Starting with Ban quet, who is ambushed early so that he can make crowd noises in the last scene, one by one, everyone is murdered. STILL OIL CO. Wholesale and Retail Distributors Of Sinclair Petroleum Products East Main St. PHONE YU 2-3215 It’s about this time that Mrs. Mac gets to make her big scene. While a doctor, who was one of the three out of four doctors who was chosen to stand behind the invisible shield and watch the 13th running of the Aspirin-Buff- erin Handicap, observes her as she makes her famous sleep walking scene. The doctors say that with three good meals a day, plenty of rest and sunshine, and a bottle of Carter’s Little Liver pills, she should overcome this. Actually, this scene should be left out, because Mrs. Mac dies in the next act. Even at the end of this boring junk, Shake-A-Lance keeps his sense of humor by having a for est march up the hill and cap ture Mac the Dagger, who was left single-handed because all his men were on strike.
