December 18,1979 £6 THE FULL MOON Attitude, Enthusiasm and Pride.. On Monday, November 5, boys’ varsity and junior varsity prac tice officially began. Many of the candidates had been working out on their own for about two weeks prior to the begining of practice. These workouts were led by two senior lettermen, Will Jolly and Frank Howard. Once again, the varsity basketball team will be coached by Dave Holcomb and assisted by Dave Talbert. This year’s varsity will be much smaller in size than the “Holcomb coached” teams in the past. The team will also be very inexperienced, with only one of the t(^ seven starters return ing from last season. The success of the team will be greatly de termined by how much ex perience the team gains as the season progresses. “Attitude, Enthusiasm, and Pride,” stated Coach Holcomb, “will also be determining factors.” Four seniors return to the var sity team this year. They are Lacester Crump (Captain), Frank Howard, Bryan Shumate, and Will Jolly. The rest of the team includes Chico Lilly, Eric Mack, Laron Maske, Todd Jones, Kenny Davis, Doug Davis and Mack Morgan.
