AHS News on Tube Governor's School Summer '82 By CAMILLE PLYLER Seniors Todd Rogers and John Montgomery were recipients of Governor’s School nominations this summer. Todd and John at tended Saint Andrew’s College in Laurinburg, North Carolina. School began June 27 and ended August 8. Todd studied advanced chemistry and biology, spending six to nine hours a day in class. John studied math-limits, ab stract algebra, and two philosophy classes, spending five to six hours a day in class. John’s favorite part of school was the social aspect of living on a college campus, while the friendly at mosphere, close student-teacher relationships, and opportunities to use new equipment were Todd’s most enjoyable ex periences. Todd’s main dislike of Governor’s School was the Bronowski films and for John it was having to say good-bye to his new friends. Both John and Todd strongly encourage anyone, who has the opportunity to go to Governor’s School, to definitely attend. It is an unforgettable experience.
