PROGRESS OF OUR SCHOOL
Since we have been printing a news
paper for only a short time, few people
realize the progress our school is
making. I shall discuss briefly some of
the improvements which have been made
during the past three years.
A well equipped lunch room has been
added, whore the pupils may get a wp^rm
lunch at a very lov; price.
Since 1936, the Scaly pupils have
been brought to this school on busses.
This helps the students to get a higher
education, since there is not a high
school at Scalyj and also gives us a
greater enrollrient.
In 1956, a radio was purchased for
our school, which is educational as well
as entertaining.
This year through the kindness of
IxT. DuPree, the pupilr have the opportu
nity to take a Bible c;ourse^ At the be
ginning of the school d-'c/ a short devo
tional period is givan which the students
take part in as well ;?.s rhe teachers.

During the past three years more rock

im' 1'^ CAN IMPROVE OTJR SCHOOL
Dr, Frank Crane said, "The supreme bus
iness of the school is to develop a
sense of justice, the power of initia
tive, independence of character, correct
social and civic habits, and the ability
to cooperate tovmrd the common good."
Citizens everywhere now consider the
school one of the essential institutions
of the community. So the free public
schools were begun and developod to
make a more efficient citizenship. Here
all are given a chance in curricular and
extra-curricular activities.
From the point of view of the
pupil v/e find that he has several
