Peace on Earth
Christmas season is here again
and it reminds us of the phrase ’’Peace
on Earth.” At no time in our history
have we needed peace on earth more than
we do now.
Spain has been in a civil war for
over two years. Many people have been
killed and buildings and other property
destroyed. This war is still being
waged and the outcome is still doubtful.
Japan, though only a small island,
has tried taking China, because the
people of China are less civilized and
prosperous than the people of Japan,
This trouble has held the attention of
the world for months, and no terms of
peace have been reached.
Germany, a very war-like, land-
hungry, money-thirsty country of Europe,
has triumphantly taken Austria without
firing a gim. She has tried taking
Czechoslovakia for her own selfish
self, but has succeeded in taking only
a part of it. The most merciless thing
Germany has done was to drive the Jews
from her borders. She left them without
home, food, or money,
America has not entered into any war
but is anxiously looking on to see the
outcome of these troubles. As she looks
and waits to hear the results, let her,
too, think of the Angel's words "Peace
on Earth, Good Will to Men.”

The Sublimeness of Christmas
Christmas is a holiday which should
be celebrated in a quiet reverent man
ner, We do not seem to realize that a
sacred occasion gave us this day to com
memorate, It is our Saviour’s birthday,
and He came to the earth to save us
from sin.
Parents teach their children to
look forward to Christmas as a time
to receive pretty toys, but why net
along with the gifts teach them the
true meaning of Christmas.

Christmas
Christmas Eve is almost here.
Then comes Christmas Day,
Old Santa will come down the chimney.
And then be dn his way.
He'll fill the stockings very full
’Til they almost topple over.
And he might leave you
A little dog named Rover.
Smaller children get dollies
With pretty curly hair.
And upon Christmas morning
Happiness fills the air,
Christmas comes but once a year
So fill your heart with joy.
And be very sure to keep.
Each precious little toy,
