Monday morning wo went on our Easter egg hunt. We carried with us our lunch, which vre ate while two girls hid our eggs. The girl and boy who found the most re ceived prizes, R. L. Reese has been out of school several days with the measles, Jessie Vinson has missed several days of school because of a sprained wrist. THE HIGHLANDS SCHOOL We should all be interested in school, especially the Highlands School’ because it helps the children and builds up the community. The Highlands boys and girls’ have basketball teams. Our teams could real ly play better if they had a gymnasium so they could get more practice. We have programs in the theatre where each grade take turns in giving a program. The movies that are shown to us free are very helpful. They teach us many things about other countries. This helps very much in geography and histo ry. The limch room is very helpful bet* cause the children can get a hot lunchi instead of bringing a cold lunch. The food is well prepared and is very nour ishing. We get the radio every Friday. In music appreciation we study the string, wood vfind, brass and percussion instru ments, V/e hear some of these each Fri day. We should all respect our principal and teachers. We are inclined to think sometimes that the punishment xro get is because the teacher does not like us, but this is not true. It is for our own good. IVe should all try to help build up our school because of the many things we have to be proud of. o
