Ilix o MAMERS AT THE MOVIES Manners is one of the most import ant factors in a person’s life. One’s success depends to a great extent \ipon good manners. One of the best places to show good manners is at a theatre. }3very- one who is there has come for the purpose of seeing a performance on the screen rather than to have his attention at tracted by some one who does not have enough respect for others to be’have him self. Some of the important facts concern ing manners at the movies are: 1. Do not laugh, cry, or applaud at inappropriate times. 2. Look at the show, not at v'ho is entering the theatre. ' 3. Do not whisper. This prevents others from hearing distinctly. 4, Do not climb over people to get a choice seat. 5, Alvmys be polite to the theatre workers, 6, Do not chew gum, eat peanuts, smoke, or shine a flashlight in the theatre. 7, Do not permit small children to cry or walk about during the show. All these facts come under the head of being considerate of others. Usually if one is considerate, he will display good manners. Colored or decorated eggs are often used to celebrate Easter. This custom is very ancient. The egg is used as a sym bol of life - used because Christ died that we might live, -Virginia Edwards o LECrl SLAT IVE AC COJTLISHIIENT S FOR THE SCHOOLS ViThile the legislature failed to enact the three point program which the North Carolina Education Association asked for, some progress was made. The following has been accomplished: 1.
