Mrs, Glonn Scott has returned to
her home in Palm Beach, Fla*,after
a visit with Mrs, O.E* Young at her
home on the Walhalla Road. Present
guests of Mrs* Young are Mr.and Mrs*
Herbert Mendenhall of Tallahassee,
Fla. Their daughter, Miss Mary Lucy
Mendenhall is at Camp Conestee for
the summer, and Mrs* Young’s son,
Earle, is at camp Greenville for
several weeks*
Mrk and Mrs* Elmer Whittle and
daughter, Idell, are at the Whittle
cottage on Fifth Street*
Mrs* M*G* Locke returned to her
home in Atlanta last week after
a lengthy stay in Highlands.
Miss Estelle Edwards and her
friend Ben H* White spent the past
week-end with Miss Edwards’ parents,
Mr* and Mrs. F,A* Edwards, Miss Ed
wards is taking a summer course at
the North Carolina Woman’s College,
Greensboro*
Dr* and Mrs. W.C. Coker of Chapel
Hill are at their summer cottage
in Lindenwood Park for the season.
Dr. Coker is president of the High
lands Museum and Biological Labor
atory.
Dudley Pitts of Atlanta is visiting
his aunt. Miss Rose B; Johnson, at
Johnson Cote in Lindenwood Park*He
and Miss Johnson will leave Satur
day for a visit in Atlanta en route
to the New York World*s Fair* Miss
Johnson expects to be away for a
month, during which time her cot
tage here will be occupied by Dr*
and Mrs* J. M. Wright, and their
daughter, Lollie Joe, of Sweetwater,
Oklahoma *
Mrs. Rodney Cohen of Augusta, Ga.,
is visiting Miss Mary Lou Phinizy
at her home, Caravan, on Satulah

Mrs* Thomas F* Parker, of Green
ville, S.C., and her sister. Miss
Alice Frost of Charleston, are
guests of Mr. and Mrs. R.B.Eskrigge
at iiieir home. World’s End, on Sa
tulah.
Mr, and Mrs. F,A. Johns, their
daughter, Adele, and sons Frank
and Richard,of Hastings, Fla.,are
occupying the W.S, Ashton cottage
on Mirror Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. John Grant of Atlanta,
have leased the Raymond A. Kline
Mr, and Mrs. Carle ton Mell of Ath
ens, G-a., are spending -this week
at Tricemont Terrace. Mr. Mell is
fire Insurance Adjuster for the
state of Georgia, and is a nephew
of James C« Mell of Highlands.
