This was Mr. Hutchinson's first visit to Highlands in thirty-eight years. He and Mrs. Hutchin son, their daughter, and their two grand children v/ere guests at Highlands Manor. The friends of Mr. and Mrs, J. C, Blanch ard are sympathizing with them in the death of their sister, Ivirs, Mary C. Peas- lee, at their home last Thursday, The 31r:nchards acconpaniod the body to Sears- port, Maine, for interment, and will be away for about two weeks, En route home they expect to stop over in TTinthrop, Mass., and Vv^ashington, D. C., for a short visit with relatives. The Highlands friends of Llrs. M. H.Martin, v/ho operated "The Martin" (nov/ Tricemont Terrace) here for a number of years, will regret to loarn that she sustained a frac tured hip in a fall at her home in Jack sonville, Fla., early in July and will have to remain in a plaster cast till the latter part of September. ) I I I I I t I \ I ! Mr. and Ifrs, Frank Clark and their two daughters, Msses Louise and Lilia Crosby, who have been spending the past two months with Misss Mary J, Crosby and her mother, Mrs. Itotha Crosby, will leave Monday for a ten days’ stay in Hendersonville before returning to their home in San Mateo,Fla. L, McCarty was honored with a surprise birthday supper last Friday by her childron, Mr, and Mrs. Sidney McCarty, and Miss Elizabeth McCarty.
