November 22, I960 THE MOUNTAIN TRAIL Page Mrs. Earl Grunkleton spent several .days in Atlanta recently with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Grunkleton and daughter, Robin* Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Chastain have gone to Atlanta, Ga., where they will re main for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Talley announce the arrival of a daughter, Beverly Dar lene, on November 1, I960. Mr, and Mrs. Steve Potts announce the birth of a son on November 8, I960, at Highlands Gommunity Hospital. Mr, and Mrs. VJill Edwards left for their home in Lakeland, Florida, last week. They will spend the winter there. Mr, and Mrs, Dewey Hopper spent a few days recently visiting their daughter and family at Hickory, N. G, Mr. and Mrs, Fred Hopper recently had as their guest, Mrs, Hattie Norton, Mrs, Hopper's mother, from Atlanta, Ga, Mr, and Mrs, Bobby Houston and small daughter spent the past week-end visiting relatives here, Mr, and Mrs. Glyde Hopper recently spent a few days with Mrs. Hopper's sister at Hickory, N. G. Mr. and Mrs, Richard McClure announce the birth of a daughter, Lucille Jane, born November 12. Mr, and Mrs. L. C. Nix, of Rolling Plains, Tenn., spent the past week-end visiting Mrs. Nix's parents, Mr. and Mrs, Mack Wilson. Mr. and Mrs, A. E. DeVille have re turned to Miami, Fla,, after a recent visit to Highlands. Deer season has taken several men away for over-night, week-end, and even a whole-week hunting trip. Several college students are ar riving for a short holiday to spend their time with relatives and friends in Highlands, P. Fi'C. Jimmy Lowe and P. F. G, Leon McCall visited friends and rela tives in Highlands over the past week end. Gene and Lyman Wilson visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs, Mack Wilson, this past week-end. Gene is a student at Mars Hill College and' Lyman lives in Hendersonville, Mr, and Mrs, Gene Houston and fam ily recently visited Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Houston in Greenville, Mr, and Mrs, Weaver Potts, of Nor ton, announce the birth of a son, born Nov, 16, in Highlands Gommunity Hospital Mrs, Potts is the former Miss Betty Baldwin. Mr, and Mrs, Walter Houston have returned to Highlands after a recent visit with friends and relatives in Virginia. Several Highlanders are planning out-of-town trips over the Thanksgiving Holidays, If you are among those who will be on the highways, RMMBEK TO DRIVE CAREFULLY. (BETA CLUB NEWS CON>T) On the whole, all members had a delightful day. Another initiation will take place for eligible persons next semester. An induction service is being planned for the new members. We are very glad to have our new members and we extend a most cordial welcome to them, W e would also like to urge other students to do their best so they may become members of this worth-while organization.
