Page 12 THE MIDGET December, 1922 ^ ENTERTAINMENTS (Leola Johnson.) This year we started off our High School term with quite a round of entertainments. On October 19 a dinner served by the second year Home Economics girls was given, the proceeds of which amounting to $30, went toward paying for the football suits. fThe Sophomore class decided to do their bit towards paying for the paraphernalia, also, and therefore. gave a Halloween party on October 27. Although only a nickle was charged at each booth $27.IG was made clear of all expenses. Among the many side attractions a few were “The Lost Soul,” “The Dying Woman,” “The Kissing Booth,” and “The Fortune Teller’s Booth.” /Ml of us agreed that the booth where the “eats” were sold was the main attraction. On the evening of Nov. 3rd, the Home Economic girls gave a playlet and a box supper for the purpose of- the equipping of their department. The name of the play was “And the Lamp Went Out.” The cast of char- acters included Margaret Ellen Pat terson, heroine, Eddie Crisco, hero, Louise Green, mother of heroine; Roy Whitley, villian; Grace Pickier, reader. At the close of the play the at tractively prepared boxes were auc tioned off to the highest bidder by Charles McSwain and -Ralph Feagin. The proceeds amounted to $oO.
