HISTORY (Continued from Page 10) die Black as her maid-of-honor. The senior representatives were Sarah Byrd and Libby Shaver. This was the year we played our first football game in the newly completed Kenneth T. Miller Sta dium. The dedication took place on the night of homecoming when we beat the Ledford Panthers 25 to 0. We had a senior day this year which was even announced over the loud speaker. Imagine that!!!! Everyone, of course, wore their “Simday-go-to-meetin’ ” clothes. Linwood Collins was elected as the Civitan Best Citizen of the year. A National Honor Society was chartered during this year and the following seniors received the high honor of being chosen for the club: Candie Black, Barbara Sossa- man, Jamee Catlin, and Dee Ann Coley. Of course, we had the Junior- Senior Prom and the senior picnic and we still had Herman. This year he got a little green jeep so he could hot-rod it over the school. With a touch of sadness and ap prehension, the time has come for us to leave Ragsdale. We have sud denly realized how quickly our school days have gone by and now we must face the future — the fu ture we have been striving toward for twelve years. No matter what each of the 159 members of our graduating class does, the memories of our school life will be the great est memories of our life. Even though we’ll all choose different walks of life and be separated, our history wiU never cease. Security is being a Gort. Security is having your college al gebra all caught up.
